Occupancy plan for the community center and barbecue hut 2026Dear citizens, you can view the occupancy schedule for the community center and the barbecue pavilion here on our website. In the attached link, bookings for the community center are marked with a red dot, and bookings for the barbecue pavilion with a blue dot. Binding bookings can be made by email to the mayor. Opening hours of the green waste collection pointThe green waste collection point in the municipality of Schwedelbach-Pörrbach is open as follows. Further opening times for the municipalities within the Weilerbach administrative district can be found via the attached link. Winter hours: November 15th to March 15th, Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Summer hours: March 16th to November 14th, Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Energy saving measure by the local communityIn November 2022, the municipal council unanimously decided to reduce street lighting in the municipality as part of energy-saving measures. A working group has now selected which streetlights will be switched off in the near future. These streetlights have been marked with a so-called lantern ring (see attached image). I would like to emphasize that the working group took traffic safety, bus stops, intersections, and access routes to the kindergarten into consideration. The measure was primarily implemented in traffic-calmed areas. Furthermore, one light will be switched off on streetlights with two shades. In total, we will be taking 33 streetlights in the municipality of Schwedelbach-Pörrbach offline, resulting in energy savings of approximately 25%. This will also save the municipality around €4,000 annually. In 2023, the municipal council will address the conversion to LED street lighting so that we can make a long-term contribution to climate protection. Mayor Henning Schaumlöffel

New burial optionsFollowing the redesign of the cemetery on Bahnhofstraße, the cemetery regulations were amended and the burial options expanded.
